Lucky
Mrs. Newman and I were enjoying a peaceful afternoon, while the
rain was falling on the quiet street. Mrs. Newman was there with me to
read French stories, because I was not that good at this subject and my
parents had decided it was time for me to learn more.
All of a sudden
the breaks of a car was heard outside in the street and a horrible
scream. We hurried outside, the car was gone, but a white big fluffy dog
was lying not far from the gate. An accident ... We took the dog inside
the house and immediately called up the vet.
The vet came fast, he said the dog had only a sprain*. He administered a few injections and left the poor thing in our house.
Ever
since then, the lucky beautiful dog with such tender eyes and pleasant
behaviour is our best friend. His name is Lucky, of course...
